Detectives in Trouble (Hangul:강력반, Romanized: Kangryukban, directly translated as Crime Squad) is a 2011 KBS detective TV series. It premiered following the finale of Dream High on March 7, 2011.

Production

Detectives in Trouble is written by Park Seong-jin and directed by Kwon Kye-hong. The ending theme song titled "Believe" is performed by T-Max.

Song Ilguk, known for his role as the eponymous character in Jumong, portrays Park Sae-hyuk, the primary protagonist of the series. Kim Seungwu was originally cast in the role of Jeong Ildo, but dropped out for personal reasons a month before the show's premiere and was replaced by Lee Jonghyeok, who won the 2010 KBS Drama Awards Excellence Award for serial drama actor in All About Marriage.Song Jihyo portrays reporter Jo Minju and Kim Jun, who is a member of T-Max and well known for his role as Song Woo Bin in Boys Over Flowers, portrays Shin Dongjin.

Synopsis

Having a legendary thief as a father and growing up learning all kinds of criminal techniques from childhood, Park Sehyeok was endowed with reading criminals' mind and tricks better than anyone else. He closes all the tough cases that are hard to solve with his own ways and therefore, he is second to none in arrest rate ranks. Special team has been assembled for operation to arrest a notorious bank burglar. They don’t get along well at the beginning but as they continue resolving case after case, they gradually learn to work as a team. Intern reporter, Jo Minju intertwined with Sehyeok who is also chasing after the same suspect. Meanwhile, Sehyeok, who has been looking for his father his whole life, suddenly and unexpectedly discovers his father's whereabouts. Moreover, Sehyeok's older brother, Sehjoong is a crooked detective and Sehyeok must confront them both.
